"AKAY ni SOL Mobile Pharmacy Rolls Out in 4 Laguna Towns"

San Pedro City, Laguna — The AKAY ni SOL Mobile Pharmacy, a health initiative of the Akay ni Sol Partylist, officially rolled out in the cities of San Pedro and Cabuyao, and the towns of Pila and Nagcarlan in Laguna. The project aims to provide free maintenance medicine to residents, particularly senior citizens.
Laguna Governor Sol Aragones expressed her gratitude to the Akay Partylist, saying the initiative aligns with her advocacy to prioritize health and ensure access to essential medicine for all. She was invited by the partylist to witness the launch of the program in person.

“This project reflects our shared mission — that no elderly or needy citizen should ever worry about where to get their medicine for high blood pressure, diabetes, or other health conditions,” said Governor Aragones.
The mobile pharmacy includes a team of doctors and pharmacists who provide proper consultation and ensure that patients receive the correct medication based on their health needs. The initiative serves as an immediate solution while long-term plans are being prepared.
Governor Aragones also announced the provincial government’s plan to establish permanent "Botika ng Bayan" or community pharmacies in every city and municipality of Laguna to make medicines more accessible to all residents.

“For now, we’re starting with a mobile pharmacy setup. But this won’t end here. Our goal is for every LGU to have its own AKAY ni GOB pharmacy,” she declared, emphasizing the administration’s health-centered agenda.

On the first day of the program alone, more than 5,000 residents benefitted from free consultations and maintenance medicines provided in the four participating localities.
Dr. Odie Inoncillo, Officer-in-Charge of the Provincial Health Office, also attended the event and reminded the public to take their maintenance medication regularly. He emphasized how free access to medicine significantly improves the well-being of Laguna residents, especially those struggling financially.
