Enchanted Kingdom, Two Other Filipino Firms Win ASEAN Tourism Awards
CEBU, Philippines — Enchanted Kingdom (EK), the Philippines’ first and only world-class theme park, has been recognized by the ASEAN Tourism Association (ASEANTA) as one of the region’s top tourism innovators, marking a strong start to 2026 for the iconic attraction as it celebrates its 30th anniversary.

The awards ceremony formed part of the 45th ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF), which honors creativity, innovation, and excellence in tourism across Southeast Asia.
The award was received by EK Chairman and President Cesar Mario O. Mamon, together with Chief Operating Officer Dr. Cynthia R. Mamon.
“We are deeply honored and humbled to represent Filipino excellence in tourism and entertainment on this prestigious ASEAN platform,” said Dr. Mamon. “This recognition strengthens our commitment to continuously provide magical experiences like AGILA The EKsperience: SARIBUHAY that also advance our shared goal of sustainable tourism.”
First introduced in 2016, AGILA The EKsperience: SARIBUHAY is the first and only flying theater in the Philippines and is a key component of EK’s education program. The attraction promotes educational tourism and national pride by showcasing the country’s natural landscapes and biodiversity. Relaunched in October 2025 as part of EK’s 30th anniversary celebration, the experience now delivers a stronger environmental message, urging guests to take part in protecting and conserving nature.
With enhanced visuals and an immersive storyline, the attraction now includes an underwater journey featuring local marine ecosystems and endangered wildlife, further reinforcing its advocacy for environmental awareness.
Aside from Enchanted Kingdom, two other Filipino companies were also recognized at the ASEANTA Excellence Awards. Muntinlupa-based destination management agency destination management received the Best ASEAN Travel Article award, represented by its Chief Executive Officer Arjun Shroff.
Meanwhile, SMX Convention Center,was awarded Best ASEAN Convention Centre, with the honor accepted by Walid Wafik, Senior Vice President for Operations of SM Hotels and Conventions Corp.
Enchanted Kingdom is open to guests from Wednesdays to Sundays, 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., with schedules subject to change without prior notice.
