"PNP Chief Visits Wounded Quezon Police Personnel, Honors Fallen Officer.together with pro4a CALABARZON regional director PBGen Kenneth Lucas "
Hen. Camp Vicente Lim— Acting Chief of the Philippine National Police (PNP), PLTGEN Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., together with senior PNP officials, visited wounded police personnel of the Quezon Police Provincial Office (QPPO) at Candelaria United Doctors Hospital on December 21, 2025, at around 12:10 p.m.
Accompanying the PNP Chief were PMGEN Constancio T. Chinayog Jr., Director for Personnel and Records Management; PMGEN Westrimundo O. Obinque, Director for Comptrollership; and PBGEN Paul Kenneth T. Lucas, Regional Director of Police Regional Office 4A (PRO4A).
During the visit, PMSg Sonnie C. Caringal and Pat. Kim Kenneth S. Averia were personally awarded the Medalya ng Sugatang Magiting and Medalya ng Kadakilaan by PLTGEN Nartatez in recognition of their courage, heroism, and sacrifice sustained during a recent police operation. The Acting PNP Chief, together with the PRO4A Regional Director, also extended cash assistance to the wounded personnel as a show of support and concern for their recovery.
PLTGEN Nartatez likewise paid his final respects at the hospital morgue to Pat. Ron Jay Chavez, a member of the 2nd Quezon Provincial Mobile Force Company, who heroically lost his life in the same police operation.
In a statement, PBGen. Paul Kenneth T. Lucas, Regional Director of PRO4A, emphasized the PNP’s steadfast commitment to its personnel.
“The Philippine National Police will always stand by our personnel, especially those who have been wounded or have given their lives in the line of duty. Their bravery and sacrifice will never be forgotten, and we will ensure that their families and loved ones receive the support and assistance they deserve,” Lucas said.
The visit underscored the PNP leadership’s unwavering commitment to the welfare of its personnel and its enduring support for police officers who risk—and even give—their lives in faithful service to the nation.
