"Two High-Value Drug Suspects Nabbed in Cardona Buy-Bust; Over P1.2M Worth of Shabu Seized"
Camp BGen Vicente P Lim - Two High-Value Individual identified as aliases Niño and Arman, were arrested and ₱1,212,372.00 worth of shabu were seized in a successful buy-bust operation conducted by the Cardona Municipal Police Station's Drug Enforcement Team at around 5:15 PM on April 9, 2025, in Sitio Ampucao, Brgy. Iglesia, Cardona, Rizal.
Based on report, the operation was carried out after receiving information from a concerned citizen through a cellphone call, reporting the selling of illegal drugs (shabu) in Sitio Ampucao, Brgy. Iglesia, Cardona, Rizal.
During said operation, 3 pieces of heat-sealed sachets containing suspected shabu weighing 178.29 grams with standard drug price of Php 1, 212, 372.00, a caliber .45 pistol with serial no. 202752 loaded with 4 live ammunitions, a gray Toyota Corolla with Plate No. PMN449, a navy-blue Euro motorcycle with Plate No. 497XOC, a green sling bag and marked money were recovered from the arrested suspects possession.
The operation was documented using two (2) Alternative Recording Devices (ARD).
The suspects, along with the confiscated pieces of evidence, were immediately brought to the Rizal Provincial Forensic Unit in Hilltop, Taytay, Rizal for appropriate laboratory examination and drug testing. Upon completion of the forensic procedures, the suspects were turned over and are now under the custody of the Cardona MPS Custodial Facility.
"This operation highlights our continued dedication to the fight against illegal drugs. We commend the cooperation of the community and the swift action of our personnel. Let this serve as a warning that we will not tolerate any form of drug activity in the region," said PBGen Paul Kenneth T Lucas, Regional Director of PRO CALABARZON.
Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act), RA 10591 (Illegal Possession of Firearms), and the Omnibus Election Code (Gun Ban) are being prepared against the arrested individuals.
