NBI, Child Rescue Coalition join forces to fight child exploitation
Aiming for a strong strategic force to fight child exploitation and any form of harrasment, the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) and the Child Rescue Coalition Inc. (CRC) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOA) to protect the children.
NBI Director Atty. Melvin Matibag expressed his gratitude recently to the CRC headed by CEO Greg Schiller for donating advance technology and holding a specialized training for NBI personnel to track down violators.
“This collaboration significantly boosts our ability to combat child exploitation in the digital space and protect vulnerable victims. We all know how important protecting our kids especially in times like this that perpetuators are now also in online,” Matibag said.
“We are so thankful to Child Rescue Coalition for partnering with us, and for helping us to fight child exploitation, any form of sexual abuse, and others that will exploit our children,” he added. “We will not stop hunting those child predators.”
Schiller also lauded the amazing performance of the NBI under the leadership of Matibag as new director.
Aside from the MOU, a Deed of Donation aimed at strengthening efforts against online sexual abuse and exploitation of children (OSAEC) were also part of the strong partnership by the two entities showing the entire world how to save children lives.
As part of the agreement, CRC has donated advanced digital forensic technology, including the MSAB XRY system, to support the operations of the NBI’s Violence Against Women and Children Division (VAWCD) and Human Trafficking Division (HTRAD).
These tools will enhance the Bureau’s capability to extract and analyze digital evidence, enabling faster and more effective case investigations.
The partnership also covers intelligence sharing, specialized training for NBI personnel, and improved coordination with international law enforcement agencies.
The NBI, according to Matibag, reaffirms its solid commitment to relentlessly pursue offenders and strengthen partnerships that advance child protection nationwide and globally.
Schiller also shared during the meeting with Matibag that they would also identify the global buyers fueling this epidemic and put them in jail as well.
