Akay ni Gob Libreng Pustiso Brings Free Dental Care to Hundreds of Lagunenses

The Provincial Government of Laguna, under the leadership of Governor Sol Aragones, launched the Akay ni Gob Libreng Pustiso program today, March 1, 2026 at the San Pablo District Hospital in San Pablo City, benefiting hundreds of residents from the 3rd District.

The initiative aims to provide free dentures to qualified Lagunenses through a structured process of screening, registration, and scheduled dental procedures. The activity gathered provincial health officials, dentists, and medical staff who worked together to accommodate beneficiaries.

“Nag ayos kagaad kami ng ating health team. Sa pangunguna po ng ating Provincial Health Officer na si Doc Odi. Ngayon po 3rd district, isusunod po natin ang ibang distrito,” said Governor Sol Aragones.

The program is part of the province’s continuing effort to improve access to essential healthcare services. Other districts are set to follow in the next rollout.

Dentists and health workers were on full force as registrants underwent initial screening before formal registration. Long lines of residents filled the hospital grounds, hopeful to qualify for the free denture assistance.

Provincial Health Officer Dr. Odilon Inoncillo explained the next phase of the process. “Bukas po simula ng binutan,” he said, referring to the start of tooth extraction procedures for approved beneficiaries.

Lightening the mood, Governor Aragones added, “Pag may pustiso na po kayo magpi-pictorial po tayo.” During the event, Dr. Lee Ho was also introduced as the new head of San Pablo District Hospital.

Governor Aragones personally
went around the venue to observe the flow of operations and ensure that the registration and screening were conducted efficiently, bringing the promise of brighter, more confident smiles closer to reality for many Lagunenses.
