Ramon Ang Fulfills Governor Sol Aragones’ Request for Laguna Dredging Project to Address Flooding
Laguna, Philippines — Business leader Ramon S. Ang, President of San Miguel Corporation (SMC), has officially responded to the long-standing request of Governor Sol Aragones by launching a comprehensive dredging project in Laguna aimed at addressing the province’s recurring flooding problems.
A Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) was signed today, marking the start of the initiative designed to clear and deepen critical waterways and tributaries to improve water flow and reduce flooding during heavy rains.
The signing ceremony was attended by Governor Sol Aragones, Mr. Ramon Ang, and representatives from various local government units across Laguna, including city and municipal mayors who expressed full support for the project. Biñan City Lone District Congressman Arman Dimaguila also witnessed the event, emphasizing the importance of dredging in effective flood mitigation and sustainable waterway management.
Governor Aragones expressed her gratitude to Mr. Ang for his support and commitment to the welfare of Laguna residents.
