Over 2,000 Farmers in Calamba City Receive Agricultural Assistance on Independence Day

CALAMBA CITY, LAGUNA (June 12, 2024) — More than 2,000 farmers in Calamba City received fertilizers following a distribution event held today, Independence Day.
The distribution was led by Mayor Roseller H. Rizal, Vice Mayor Angelito S. Lazaro Jr., and members of the City Council for individual farmers.

In his message, Rizal highlighted the city's recognition of farmers as the country's heroes, emphasizing the importance of providing them with proper support to enhance their harvests.
According to City Agriculturist Ruby Arenas, aside from fertilizers, farmers will also receive other agricultural inputs such as seedlings and tools as part of the local government's priority programs.
